Serve as a creative producer on socially engaged films, with expertise in budgeting, fundraising, grant writing, outreach, research, project management, and impact. Projects include:
2016-2020
“Lyd” – Producer
A cinematic portrait of the rippling impacts of displacement, war and occupation on a community in Palestine, directed by Sarah Ema Friedland and Rami Younis. Feature-length hybrid sci-fi documentary with live action and animation.
- Project management, fundraising, and impact planning.
- Run $43k+ Indiegogo campaign in which Roger Waters of Pink Floyd joined as Executive Producer.
- Pitch project at Cannes Film Festival.
2012-2017
“Island Soldier” – Producer
A feature-length film about Micronesian citizens serving in the US military and the future of a small island nation, directed by Nathan Fitch, edited by Bryan Chang, co-produced by Meerkat Media Cooperative.
- Guide project from pre-production through post, festival run, broadcast (America ReFramed), and impact.
- Raise $140,000 from Pacific Islanders in Communication and Guam Humanities Council.
- Produce $40,000 Kickstarter campaign. Win festival Audience Awards (2017, 2018) and a Grand Jury Award (2018).
2013
“Holy land” – Associate Producer
“Holy Land,” a feature-length documentary by director Peter Cohn, follows three Israelis and three Palestinians in the West Bank. They come from across the religious and political spectrum, on both sides. They’re all idealists, struggling at great personal cost for what they believe in.
- Produce $20,000 Kickstarter campaign and early outreach marketing strategy.
2011-2012
“My Brooklyn” – Associate Producer
A documentary about the intersection of gentrification, race and public policy, directed by Kelly Anderson.
- Move the film from production to post, theatrical distribution and broadcast on PBS (America ReFramed).
- Secure glowing reviews in Bloomberg, Indiewire, the New York Times and Variety through outreach, press releases and contacts.
- Engage community partners, such as churches and community groups, to achieve a three-week sold-out theatrical run.
2012-present
NONPROFIT VIDEO PRODUCER & DEVELOPMENT PROFESSIONAL – BK, NY
- Execute high quality short films on behalf of international NGOs for broadcast and the web.
- Write grants for premiere nonprofit clients including Human Rights First and the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art.
- Recently produced a series of educational films for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, one of which featured Nick Offerman.

2002-2006
PROGRAM COORDINATOR – SCRIBE, PhiLa, pA
- Curate and execute free public film screenings in neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia in partnership with grassroots groups for this long-standing media arts center (scribe.org).
- Program a year-round screening series.
- Grow audience from hundreds to thousands per year and greatly increase press coverage, including in Spanish-language media outlets.
